To provide VERTEX-POS services, we collect information that merchants submit or generate while using the app, including store name, owner name, store address, phone number, login credentials, product names, barcodes/SKUs, product images, prices, inventory records, supplier/customer records, sales transactions, purchase records, wholesale outbound records, refund/loss records, store terminals and cashier/operator settings.
We no longer request or collect device location information. Store addresses are entered manually by users.
We use the information to provide account registration and login, product and inventory management, sales and purchase analytics, store inventory synchronization, POS terminal management, reporting, account security, customer support and service maintenance.
We do not sell merchant business data to third parties and do not use such data for advertising unrelated to VERTEX-POS services.
On some Android versions the system requires nearby-device or location permission to scan for Bluetooth devices; this permission is used solely for printer discovery and is never used to collect or upload location data.
The current version does not request contacts/system account access, phone state access, or system settings access.
For usability, the app stores necessary local information such as login tokens, language preference, auto-login preference and remembered phone number. Login-related data is removed when the user logs out or deletes the account.
Data is transmitted to our server only as necessary to provide the service. The service domain is https://vertexpos.net.
If users choose to open optional third-party features such as external monitoring links, those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We use HTTPS, login tokens, permission checks and encrypted password storage to help protect merchant data. No internet service can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, so users should protect their account credentials and avoid logging in on untrusted devices.
We retain data necessary to provide the service while the user uses VERTEX-POS. Users may request account deletion inside the app (Profile → Delete VERTEX Account) or on the web at https://vertexpos.net/delete-account.html. After deletion, the account and associated business data will be deleted from the cloud and cannot be restored, unless retention is required by law.
VERTEX-POS is intended for merchant operators and is not directed to children. Users who are not of legal adult age in their jurisdiction should not register or use the service.
